Al-Hamdan Heritage House, located in Unaizah, Al-Qassim, is one of the region’s most authentic heritage landmarks. Set amidst an old farm in Wadi Al-Janah, the house represents a perfect example of traditional rural Najdi architecture. Spanning an area of about 300 square meters, it was built using classic mud and clay materials that reflect the essence of old Saudi craftsmanship.
The house is divided into several main sections, including the coffee room (majlis) used for hosting guests, the courtyard (al-qiyyah) — a central open space surrounded by rooms — and the farmers’ coffee area, once used by workers and visitors from neighboring farms. One of the most notable rooms is the bride’s room, showcasing traditional cosmetics and wedding items that tell stories of Saudi social life in earlier times.
Inside the house, visitors will also find four traditional shops displaying historical farming tools and domestic equipment, while five more shops outside offer local handmade products and antique collectibles.
Today, Al-Hamdan Heritage House serves as a cultural and historical attraction that reflects the lifestyle and architectural brilliance of old Najd.
