Jabal Daka

Jabal Daka is one of the highest mountains in Taif, located about 20 kilometers southwest of the city and overlooking the Al-Shafa resort area. Rising between 2,500 and 2,900 meters (8,200–9,500 feet) above sea level, the mountain is renowned for its cool climate, where temperatures can drop below freezing during winter. Covered with juniper trees and diverse vegetation, it offers breathtaking natural scenery that becomes richer as visitors ascend toward the peak.

Beyond its natural beauty, Jabal Daka holds cultural and religious importance, as its summit is one of the last points in the region where the sun sets — making it a traditional reference for prayer and fasting times during Ramadan. Today, it remains a captivating destination for families and adventure seekers alike, complemented by nearby resorts that enhance the mountain’s appeal.

When exploring Taif, Wadi Trip ensures that Jabal Daka is a must-visit stop for those seeking both the serenity of nature and the cultural depth of Saudi Arabia’s highlands.
