Jeddah Flagpole

The Jeddah Flagpole is one of the city’s most iconic modern landmarks, ranking as the second tallest flagpole in the world after Egypt’s New Administrative Capital flagpole. Located at King Abdullah Square, also known as the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Square, it stands proudly on Jeddah’s Northern Corniche as a symbol of Saudi pride and architectural innovation.

The square surrounding the Jeddah Flagpole covers an area of 26,000 square meters, featuring a monumental flagpole rising to a height of 171 meters, surrounded by 9,000 square meters of landscaped greenery. The plaza displays the Saudi national emblem of two crossed swords and a palm tree — representing strength, growth, and prosperity.

The site is illuminated by 13 spotlights, symbolizing the Kingdom’s 13 administrative regions, creating a breathtaking national monument that blends modern design with deep cultural significance.
