Palm Crafts Center

The Palm Handicraft Center in Al-Ahsa is one of Saudi Arabia’s leading heritage hubs dedicated to preserving and developing traditional crafts. As the first specialized training center for handicrafts in the Kingdom, it focuses on the art of palm-based crafts, supporting artisans in creating high-quality products that reflect authentic Saudi heritage.

Established under the supervision of the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC), the center serves as an educational platform for artisan training and traditional industries, offering programs designed to empower young Saudis with craftsmanship and entrepreneurial skills to thrive in the creative economy.

The center plays a vital role in the development of the national handicraft sector, combining heritage preservation with modern innovation. Its workshops provide hands-on training in:

  • Palm frond weaving and basket-making.

  • Handcrafted household and decorative items.

  • Traditional mats and woven textiles from natural materials.

Products from the center are showcased in local and international exhibitions, highlighting the exceptional skill and creativity of Saudi artisans. Visitors can explore live workshops, witness the intricate process of handcrafting, and gain a deeper appreciation for the artistry rooted in Saudi tradition.
